Looking for the best Ripple wallet?

We’ve got you covered.

With cryptocurrencies booming in the second half of 2017, Ripple was one of the coins that multiplied in value many times. With investors like Google and significant Bank partners, everyone saw this bull run coming. This also meant that more and more people invested in Ripple (XRP).

In the crypto world, you just can’t leave your precious crypto assets somewhere. If you leave your coins in an exchange, you do not own the private keys for your coins thereby making them, not your coins, technically of course.

In the search for the best Ripple wallet, we found a lot of options that met the criteria. But in this post, we are going to list only the eight best XRP wallets so that you have just the best to choose from.

Do note that we have used these wallets and give you our opinion of how good these are.

Let’s start.

1. Ledger Nano S

Best Ripple wallet

Be it any coin, the safest wallet you can find is a hardware wallet.

Ledger Nano S is by far the most reliable hardware wallet out there in the market. For safely storing Ripple, this Ledger wallet is our best choice.

What makes it that much better? Let’s see.

Display:

Ledger Nano S comes with a small but handy display. With this display, you can see what’s happening. You can see both incoming and outgoing transactions which give you peace of mind.

Even though you have apps you can use on the big screen, having an onscreen display gives you much more confidence when moving around big amounts of cryptos.

Security:

Being the only hardware wallet that supports the storage of Ripple, Ledger Nano S is very secure.

You can’t accidentally make a transaction. To confirm a transaction, you will need to press both the physical button at the same time. This guarantees no misuse of ripple inside the wallet.

There is also a PIN which you need to input whenever you are trying to access the wallet.

This makes it harder for someone who tries to access your wallet in the absence of you or in the case of a lost wallet.

Multicurrency:

Ledger Nano S supports multiple currencies.

How is this good for Ripple? Not in any particular way, but if you have another supported coin, you can move that into the wallet as well.

Some of the other coins supported are

  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • Litecoin
  • Zcash
  • Bitcoin Cash
  • Stellar
  • NEO
  • and more.

Easy Backup:

One of the biggest fears for anyone investing in a hardware wallet is what if I lose my wallet? Will I lose my cryptos along with it?

With Ledger Nano S, the answer is no.

Ledger makes automated backups. If you lose your wallet, you can get back your funds by getting a new Nano S. All you have to do is remember the 24 recovery words you get when setting up your ledger wallet.

All these excellent points make Ledger Nano S, one the best Ripple wallets out there.

The Ledger Nano S can be bought from the official site here. It costs just under a $100 but is totally worth it. You can also buy it from Amazon if the official website is backlogged or out of stock.

3. There are no fees in the Toast wallet.  You can use the wallet as you want but there are no fees that Toast charges. This makes Toast a good contender for the best Ripple wallet.

6. Exarpy

Once you deposit Ripple, you will be able to see your transaction history as well. They have a friendly interface so figuring things out is a joy.

8. Binance

Yes, Binance.

Binance is one of the best altcoin exchanges in the world right now. It was started in 2017, and it quickly rose in popularity, thanks to its comprehensive altcoin listings.

We know we told at the beginning of this post not to leave your cryptos on the exchange. But there are so many newcomers who could lose their crypto trying to transfer it to a wallet.

For those non-tech savvy people, it is better to trust an exchange like Binance.

Binance comes with excellent security and will keep your Ripple safe without any issues. You can use two-factor authentication to improve the safety of the account.

There are no fees to deposit any Ripple. But Binance charges a flat fee of  0.25 XRP when you try to withdraw it.

Please use Binance as a wallet for Ripple only if you are new to the world of crypto. If you have learned how to use other wallets, then there is no reason to keep your precious Ripple on an exchange like Binance. Move your Ripple to a secure wallet as soon as possible.

Check out Binance

Note: When you create a new wallet, there is a requirement that you maintain a minimum of 20 XRP in here. For example, if you deposit 100 XRP in a wallet, you will be able to withdraw only 80 of those as 20 are kept as a minimum balance. This is done by Ripple in order to reduce the growth of the ledger in a spammy manner. Be careful if you are going to put in small amounts as you won’t be able to take 20 XRP from the wallet.

So these are 8 of the best Ripple wallets out there at the moment.
